Hello

When you can't sleep, you might as well craft I always say! Since I should get to bed, I thought I would check out a couple of CAS blogs to see if I could do a quick challenge or two. It works out great that I used a sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! to create my card for CAS-ual Fridays. The theme at CAS-ual Fridays is to make your mark and use markers in your project. I may have to do another card if I have time this week. I am using this cute paper smooches stamp set that I got a few weeks ago and think the images are all adorable. Cardstock is Gina K and pattern paper is scraps from Carta Bella (Merry and Bright paper). Of course me being me, I had to add a couple gems (CTMH). I fussy cut that adorable walrus after coloring him with copics and popped him up for some dimension.

Once again, here are the challenges I am entering: the sketch:

And:

Cas-ual Fridays #87 - use markers in your creation

ETA: I would like to add this to the Paper Smooches guest designer search.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your week!

Rest in Peace Grandpa

Today's card was inspired by the card on the new Muse challenge blog. The stripes and the flower were my inspiration for this card for my children's Grandpa. We will miss you a lot Grandpa, may you rest in peace and be free of pain.

It has been a tough go this last week, but the release of creating for their Grandma was very soothing. Of course, my daughter and I always think things look a little better with just a little bit of sparkle. It is hard to tell in the photos, but the main focal image was lightly coloured with silver and stardust sakura pens to give some soft glimmer to the focal image. The stamps are Gina K as is the white cardstock. The black cardstock is CTMH as is the button. Ribbon and thread are from my scraps drawer. I used a swiss dots cuttlebug folder and a spellbinder die (label #16 I think).

I would also like to enter this in the Make It Monday challenge where it is always anything goes.

Warm Hugs,

Happy "Bird"day Mom

I've been waiting to use this adorable bird for a birthday card and my mom is the lucky one to receive this little cutie! (Sorry the pics weren't so great - night time pics with no light). This was also a chance to try a different kind of bow. It looks a little funny from the angle in the first picture, but each angle I chose that showcased the bow in a better light created dark shadows. Hope you get the idea, the photos don't do this card justice. And before I forget - May your birthday be extra fabulous Mom! Lotsa love sent your way!!!!

Chocolate Coffee and Cards Challenges - for the birds

Have a wonderful weekend,

Warm Wishes

Hello. I'm here today with another card for the challenge over at CASology. This week the theme is winter. I've been waiting to use this cute little mug stamp from a hero arts set I got before Christmas and thought this was a perfect challenge for it. The greeting on the outside is a Gina K greeting and the one on the inside is from a paper smooches set. The cardstock is Gina K pure luxury white heavy base weight card stock and the ink is Memento Tuxedo Black. I used a little sakura clear star pen to add a little sparkle to the snowflake on the mug and the steam from the hot cocoa. The paper piecing was done with carta bella "merry and bright" paper and lastly the fibre was from my stash and is unknown.

I would also like to enter this card in a couple more challenges:

Card Makin Mamas - anything goes
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - coffee, cocoa or tea
Stampin for the weekend - anything goes

Thanks for stopping in! Stay warm!
