Speedy Recovery

Hello again,

I am just cleaning up my desk top and saw these photos that I meant to post a couple of weeks ago. This is a get well card for a dear colleague who had surgery. Decided to do a tri-fold card so that the staff had lots of place to sign. Love this little turtle and those adorable bandaids from the Lawn Fawn set On the Mend. I have had this set for awhile and haven't had time to ink it up. This was such a fun card to make and the recipient was thrilled.

Hard to get a good picture with the added shine and sparkle, but I hope you can see it in the above view.

Open one side . . .

Fully open!

Wheelie Birthday

Hello Blogland,

I am popping in with a super quick post. I can't seem to find time to make many things these days, let alone get them posted. The following is a card for my dad's birthday tomorrow. I got out my copics and colored my heart out. The stamp is one I hadn't inked up yet from AI (Art Impressions). Love the action wobbler . . . if you haven't tried these yet . . . so fun! I added some Lawn Fawn Balloon Die Cuts and some mini silver star confetti to finish the front. (Of course the balloons have Spectrum Noir shimmer, coated with glossy accents)

Of course I had to add a matching envelope!

Check out the wobble in the clip below:

I added some Lawn Fawn balloon dies and a Simon Says Stamp birthday greeting to the inside to finish it off.

I have added this to instagram to participate in Kathy Racoosin's current 30 day coloring challenge. This was for day 12. If you have never been to her blog, click on her name above to visit. She is uber talented.

I have also added this into the Stampin' Royalty Masculine Challenge - SR#353

Thanks for stopping in.

Cheers!

You're Fintastic Trio

Hello everyone,

It is a beautiful sunny day here today! A perfect day to do some midday coloring to get out of the heat for a little while. I saw this adorable Lawn Fawn card the other day by Elise using the Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends stamp set. I had no thinking power today so I basically copied her design with very little variation. When all was said and done I ended up with 3 super cute cards. Thanks for the idea Elise!

First up here is Elise's card:

After stamping and die cutting these sweet images, I colored them in a rainbow of sweet colors using my copic markers. I used my colorless blender to give some of those sweet fish some tone on tone polka dots. The bubbles were stamped in a variety of inks from Simon Says Stamp, Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts. On the first card I used the Lawn Fawn Rectangle stitched die to cut out my panel. At the end all fish were of course colored with my clear Wink of Stella marker to give them a pretty shimmer.

Now for my 3 cards:

Just can't get enough of those cutie pie rainbow fish!

MFT Funky Flowers

Hi there,

I am doing a quick post today to share a retirement card for a dear colleague featuring the MFT Funky Flowers. There are so many amazing examples out there using this stamp set and I can't wait to play with it some more. I was inspired by a number of those cards and used a blend of those ideas to come up with my card. I also used the Hero Arts Pinstripe background stamp and a Mama Elephant stamp set called Make a Wish for the greeting on the outside of the card. On the inside of the card I used the Sending and Wishing stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I used copic markers to color in the flowers and leaves.

Here is the inside. I made it into a tri-fold so there was room for all of our staff to sign.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge:

Fantastic Dad!

Hello everyone,

I'm popping in to wish my dad a Happy Father's Day and share the card I made for him. I used Lawn Fawn and Simon Says stamp products for the die cutting and stamping. I love the Lawn Fawn Puns Galore Stamps and Matching dies and finally got to use this set. I combined that with stitched rectangles and frames for the card front. On the inside I actually used a Simon Says Stamp Set called Mothers Day Zingers. These sayings really make me laugh.

I would like to enter my card in the Paper Player's Challenge. It is a CAS Celebration challenge to celebrate their 300th!

That's all for today!

Hero Arts / Simon Says Stamp Prayers

Hello Blogging Friends,

I had to make a sympathy card for a dear friend a couple of days ago and decided to make several using a stamp set from my stash. I am just loving the Hero Arts & Simon Says Prayers stamp set. I got this in September when it was first released and am finally having a chance to use it. As well I have been playing with Altenew's Vintage Flowers stamp set of late. I am feeling more comfortable with the layering. Over the last few days I experimented with a few different colors (inks are from SSS, Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts). The rectangle dies are also from Lawn Fawn. I took a group photo so you can see the shimmer of the wink of Stella that I used to highlight the Roses. It sure is hard to capture that in a picture.

I would like to enter the purple card into the following challenge:

I would like to enter the remainder of the cards into:

Layered Stamped Flowers - Altenew

I have had this amazing set called Vintage Flowers from Altenew for awhile now and have not had the time to sit and play. Well yesterday I needed a special birthday card and decided to give it a whirl. While I was at it, I used my MISTI to do 4 cards since the stamping was a lot of work. I used a combination of Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn inks to stamp these beauties.

The stamping was a lot of work, but for a first try at lining up all those layers, I am pretty happy with the results.

Jennifer McGuire inspired

I have been loving, inspired by and wanting to case this Jennifer McGuire card at this link: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2015/02/video-simple-foiling-new-ranger-dye-inks-giveaway.html for a really long time.

Jennifer always makes everything look so easy in her videos. I can tell you the following cards (decided to make 4) were time consuming to do the stamping. I tried free hand stamping, using the MISTI and using a ruler. In the end the MISTI was the biggest help.

I also tried a few inks before getting going and for the most part stuck with many of the same ones Jennifer used from Ranger. I did like these inks, but mine are already kind of dry and so the MISTI helped double stamp some of them.

Sorry for the poor photos . . . again because these cards have foil on them, they were hard to photograph. I also was taking pics at night which didn't help. Anyhow, I hope you find something you enjoy here. The first card was for my mom's birthday, which is why there was an extra special envelope!

Cheers! Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations - Wedding Shaker

Hello fellow bloggers! I have managed to make it into my craft room a little over the last week and I have decided that although I want to continue blogging and sharing, I am going to take a break from the time consuming process of explaining the card or listing all the supplies. I would like to speed up the process a bit to help focus on my goal of utilizing time in a more productive way. Needless to say I do appreciate the sharing aspect and if there is anything you would like to know, please ask and I will certainly share details.

On that note, I would like to share a Wedding shaker card that I created for a fellow colleague who got married in Australia over the Christmas Break! She is just such a fun young girl and when I saw this card on Pinterest, I knew it was perfect for her and I certainly scraplifted the whole idea and changed very little. Thanks so much for the inspiration Nichol Magouirk! What you don't see in my card - as I was negligent on taking a photo - is that I turned it into a trifold card with a gift certificate holder. This allowed for all of our staff to sign the card and send our best wishes!

This card allowed me to try out my minc machine and I have to admit . . . I LOVE IT!!! Like others, there may be a lot of foiling in my future! I have noticed, however, it is super difficult to photograph shiny projects without getting a dark reflection of yourself or your camera. I found holding it up on an angle away from me helped with that process.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps Challenges - anything goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters - something old; something new - The minc foiling is new for me, all the rest of my supplies I have had on hand for awhile
The Outlawz - CAS Challenge group - something sparkly
