Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day #1

Well so far this class has been amazing as is typical for Online Card Classes (OCC). I have loved all the techniques so far, but decided to do the homework for the one that Kristina Werner taught. The fact that I got two cards out of the deal was awesome. I didn't have the same background stamp as she did, but for this class I am determined to work with what I have. Watercoloring for me is still relatively new, however, with the emboss resist to help, I have to admit I am pleased with the outcome. My background stamp is a gingham stamp from Impression Obsession. For the card design, I stuck pretty close to Kristina's sample, but of course added my own twist. I love the glossy accents on the big you!! Other stamps are from Simon Says as well as the big you die. The heart dies are from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for stopping in,

Doodle Picture

Today the theme over at Saturday's Paper a la Mode on the Outlawz Challenges is Doodles. As soon as I saw the theme, I knew that I wanted to try to create something hand drawn. Now the problem is that I can't draw something from scratch, but if I see something I like, I can make a relatively good copy. So I headed on over to Pinterest to look for some inspiration. You can see the original here. I think I CASEd this pretty well. :) Just wish I could come up with some of these great ideas on my own. Hope you like it.

I used Simon Says Stamp water color paper, copic multiliners along with inktense pencil crayons and a Tim Holtz water brush. Easy Peasy!

Challenges I would like to enter:

Make It Monday - always anything goes
Inspire Me Fridays - always anything goes
4 Krafty Girlz Challenges - anything goes
As You Like It - Favourite Not a Card Project and Why?
This project is one of my favourites in a long time, because it is truly artsy and something that I drew myself. This takes a lot of effort on my part as it doesn't come naturally, so it makes me proud to finish a picture like this.

Have a great weekend,

Sunshines and Smiles

Hello again . . . I am back today with another catch up card from last week for Week 1, Day 2 of Summer Card Camp 2. I was inspired to try watercolor stripes by Shari Carroll. She is a fabulous artist. I had to substitute distress inks for gelatos (as I only have 4 and they weren't the right colours); however, I am very happy with how this turned out using the same technique. I used a heavy water color paper with the heavy texture side up. **The hearts in the picture look really intense orange and red, however, they are actually a deeper shade of pink and a slightly less intense orange.

I will be back with a full supply list later . . . my goal was to get both cards I made today posted, so I can get back to work.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - anything goes
Anything Goes Challenge - anything goes
Created with Love - anything goes
Make It Monday #149 - anything goes
One Stop Craft Challenge - summer colours

Thanks so much for stopping in,
