Happy Bee Day!

Ooooooh I'm loving this hexagon die from SSS (Simon Says Stamp). I have been playing around with it all morning. I decided to enter the pre-class challenge 1 for Summer Card Camp 2. This challenge was to use 4 out of 5 of the colors in a color challenge. I have to admit I don't usually go for the color challenges because I am such a "pink" girl. That is why I am excited about this camp as I am hoping it will really push me out of my comfort zone.

You're a Star!

Today is catch up day for posting cards I have not had time to put on my blog. These 3 cards were thank you cards for amazing volunteer students that we had this year at our school. Again, photos not the best as I was rushed and forgot to take one before signing them. I just love this stamp set from MFT and have already made a few cards with this set. I was loving the rainbow look, but until now hadn't had a chance to play.  Thanks for stopping in . . . all supplies are MFT except some of the ink which is a combo of MFT and Memento.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenge:

Make It Monday - anything goes

Have a great weekend,

Music Teacher Retirement

Whew! With the busy end to the school year, I am finally getting a chance to post this special card that was made for one special lady that retired on our staff this year! I just love how this card turned out and the photos definitely don't do it justice. I was in a hurry and my camera was making the card blue instead of purple, so I had to take pics with my phone and the lighting is still not right, but it gives you a good idea. Yes, :) I did decorate the back of the card as well as we needed lots of space for all of our staff to sign and Mary Ellen loves Grand Piano's and I couldn't help but include that somewhere. I am also so proud that I made all the pattern paper on this card. The two musical ones are done with a Penny Black background stamp and the black music paper was downloaded and printed from My Memories digital papers. The inside sentiment was computer generated and then that adorable chalkboard was stamped around it afterwards. It is hard to see but the musical notes on the inside and her hair barrette are shined up with glossy accents.

Supplies Used:

Paper: MFT and Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento, CTMH and MFT
Markers: Copic Sketch, Multiliner, Spica and Sakura

Dies: MFT, Spellbinders
Gems: unknown

Glossy Accents
