CAS Triangles

Hello! My card today was inspired by this card by Jennifer McGuire. I have played around a bit with my triangle stamps and dies with MFT and it took me awhile to get them into a card. I used Smooth White cardstock from MFT and a variety of hero arts inks. The hello and heart stamp are Simon Says Stamp as is the inside greeting. Where it looks like small white dots in the picture is actually wink of Stella added for shine to accent a few of the triangles. I couldn't get it photograph with the shimmer as well as I would have liked. You can see it a little better on the triangle on the inside of the card.

I have been waiting awhile to have some time to do a card that wasn't CAS and to pull out my copics and sit and color. Well that opportunity arose today with a little rain :). I was inspired by the Outlawz alcohol marker theme - Hot Summer Fun! This sweet Sarah Kay image is one of my favourites. The card stock is Gina K and MFT and the DP is Echo Park. The bling is CTMH and the greetings are from two different Gina K sets. Ribbon is from Michaels.

Hello blogland! I am here with a "quick" card (that took me longer than I thought) for the CASology cool challenge! Cool is the theme and it was perfect for me to pull this adorable penguin out of my stash that has been waiting to be used. I believe it is a Totally Stampalicious stamp. I was also trying out the SSS heavy weight card stock - LOVE! The sentiment stamps are from MFT (inside) and CASual Friday stamps. The designer papers are echo park and lawn fawn. Copic markers were used to color in the penguin. And of course I had to add glossy accents for some shine! :)

Shaker Card for Camp

Hi there! I'm back with a post for Summer Card Camp 2. The inspiration was from Week 2, Day 3 where one of the guest artists, Kelly Marie Alvarez from Lawn Fawn created this amazing shaker card. I have always wanted to try one of these. The most difficult part for me this week, despite the amazing inspiration and projects, was to get into the groove with the colour combo challenge. These are not typically colors I would work with, which is why this class is so awesome . . . it is really pushing me outside of my comfort zone. Hope you enjoy my card . . . I will definitely be making more of these as it was so fun to make! **For some reason I had a hard time photographing this card - lighting was never quite right. I took a few pics of the front so you could see the different shaker pieces :).
