This sweet Mo Manning image was perfect for my niece for her tenth birthday (she has a very similar face) and it immediately made me think of her. The theme over at the Outlawz Paper a la Mode challenge is "anything goes". This theme is always one of our favourites and I welcome you to join us!

Hello all! I have a new card today for the Paper a la Mode (PAM) challenge over at the Outlawz. If you are not a member already, you should come join us! It is lots of fun and there are tonnes of great prizes every month. My card today is for my daughter's birthday! She will be turning 11 this week. I made a shaker card earlier in the summer and she loved it soooo much, so I can't to wait to see her face when she opens this.

Sparkly Hello

A quick post today for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week, which is a colour challenge. I decided to join in as I have a hard time with color schemes that don't include pink and am trying to push myself to consider other color palettes more regularly. :) I also had to decorate an envelope (which actually corresponds more to the inside of the card), but wanted to try out a new stamp set (for me) from Cas-ual Fridays. It has tonnes of great fun words and hope to create a card with those next. I had already started this card when my package arrived in the mail. Woohoo!

Anyhoo, the glitter paper is DCWV glitter stack. The cardstock is MFT as are the dies. The stamps are CAS-ual Fridays (splotch), SSS (dotted line on envie) and Hero Arts (inside greeting). Ink is Hero Arts and Memento.  To make the card, I die cut the hello and arrow where I wanted it in the background paper and then die cut the images again with the colors I wanted to fill with. That's it ... easy peasy! :)

Slam Dunk - Birthday

More CAS Triangles!

Hello! I am back with more CAS triangle cards. I was on the Trendy Triangles board on Pinterest by Cath Edvalson and just had to make a couple more thank you cards (as I never seem to have enough of those). Of course the Trendy Triangles Challenge over at Moxie Fab World is still open, so I will be entering the pink one in the challenge. I used generation stamping to create an ombre effect (something I have also been wanting to try). The two blue cards have wink of Stella glitter pen (might be a little addicted to the shine - ha ha) on three random triangles. It is hard to see in the photo, but any that look a little greyish or spotty is the glitter. I really need to find a way to photograph it so it shows - any ideas or tips would be appreciated! :) Both the paper and triangle stamps are MFT. The greetings are either Paper Smooches or SSS. Sequins are dollar store.

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Blog is having a monochromatic challenge, so I am also entering my cards in that challenge as well.

CAS Triangles

Hello! My card today was inspired by this card by Jennifer McGuire. I have played around a bit with my triangle stamps and dies with MFT and it took me awhile to get them into a card. I used Smooth White cardstock from MFT and a variety of hero arts inks. The hello and heart stamp are Simon Says Stamp as is the inside greeting. Where it looks like small white dots in the picture is actually wink of Stella added for shine to accent a few of the triangles. I couldn't get it photograph with the shimmer as well as I would have liked. You can see it a little better on the triangle on the inside of the card.

I have been waiting awhile to have some time to do a card that wasn't CAS and to pull out my copics and sit and color. Well that opportunity arose today with a little rain :). I was inspired by the Outlawz alcohol marker theme - Hot Summer Fun! This sweet Sarah Kay image is one of my favourites. The card stock is Gina K and MFT and the DP is Echo Park. The bling is CTMH and the greetings are from two different Gina K sets. Ribbon is from Michaels.
