Sunshines and Smiles

Hello again . . . I am back today with another catch up card from last week for Week 1, Day 2 of Summer Card Camp 2. I was inspired to try watercolor stripes by Shari Carroll. She is a fabulous artist. I had to substitute distress inks for gelatos (as I only have 4 and they weren't the right colours); however, I am very happy with how this turned out using the same technique. I used a heavy water color paper with the heavy texture side up. **The hearts in the picture look really intense orange and red, however, they are actually a deeper shade of pink and a slightly less intense orange.

I will be back with a full supply list later . . . my goal was to get both cards I made today posted, so I can get back to work.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - anything goes
Anything Goes Challenge - anything goes
Created with Love - anything goes
Make It Monday #149 - anything goes
One Stop Craft Challenge - summer colours

Thanks so much for stopping in,

I appreciate you stopping by,

Hello Friend!

Hello everyone! I am back with a post for Summer Card Camp 2. This is still from last week's classes. I am behind, but the rainy day today should help with some catching up. On this particular day (Day 4) we were challenged to do a card in under 10 minutes. Wow! My heart goes through my chest just at the thought. I also based my card on one of the guest artist's Jennifer Rzasa. She did an amazing job and I loved her card. Here is my effort and I was a little over the time, but I never thought I would get this close, so am pleased with the result. I think I will have to try a few more of these!

A closer look at the fun dimension!

So close! :)
**If the hello die cut had been one word - I would have made it, but to pop it up with all those little cut foam pieces took some extra time! :)

Not sure exactly what you're the buzz means . . . but it sounds cute - right? Anyhoo, can't get enough of these hexagons and that cute little bee. I had some pieces left over from last weeks cards, so don't be surprised if you see a few more hexagon cards with little bees on them!

Just "Bee"cause

Hi there. . . my postings for the next couple of weeks will be for the Summer Card Camp 2 class that I am taking. We are on day 4 and there is so much inspiration. I had high hopes for a card a day, but I think I will be lucky to do two - three a week. Anyhoo, this first card is a pretty close CASE to one that was done by Kristina Werner on Day 1. We have 3 sketches to work from and a color theme for the week. I am so loving this bright color theme and am really hoping to get in as many cards as I can.

Thanks for stopping by,
